  1. Going forward in reverse

Anyone else had this happen? Our 380 decided to go forward when reverse selected (like being in drive). Kept on doing this despite putting the selector in neutral and park. Engine off fixed it. Hopefully just an electronic glitch? Steve

  2. Headlight crazing

I noticed both of the headlights on my 38 (07 GT) have numerous tiny little cracks or crazing as it is usually caused. Don't know why I didn't notice it until now. I can't see a thread taking about the 380 lights doing this (a few on water ingress though). Has anyone else had this on their 380s? ...

  3. New front hub

Hi, I'm looking at replacing the right front hub on my 380. Anyone done this themselves? skill level? I'm still trying to track down the elusive driveline noise as per my post "humming sound". Wife drives the car 95% of the time but it really annoys me when I do. Centre and left front bearings...

  4. Misaligned rear bumper

Hi all Has anyone had any issues with the alignment of your 380 rear bumper. I just noticed today that the passengers side is about 5mm "deeper" than the panel above (left of boot lid). I'm sure it wasn't like that before and there is no evidence of damage. Can the clips break or can the plastic...

  5. Rear wheel bearing

I have a noisy rear wheel bearing on the 380. Already had a faulty front bearing and had to get a new hub to fix this. Dos anyone know if new bearings can be pressed into the rear hubs or do you need to buy an entire replacement hub? Not having good luck with 380 bearings. Mal, do you sell...

  6. "new" 380 VRX

I just bought a 2006 platinum VRX for my dad. It has 115000km and has the sunroof and bluetooth. No dents, no rust, great paint and full service history. Does have a few scrapes that can be touched up and a smashed drivers mirror (replacement coming from Mal). winning bidder on eBay refused to go...

  7. Strange electrical gremlin?

Hi, I have noticed an issue with our 380 in relation to the headlights and air conditioning. If you turn off the car with the lights on (they automatically turn off) or switch them on after turning off car (to use the auto lights off feature to see where you are walking), the air conditioning...

  8. Damaged rear headrest

Hi all, I removed a kid's car seat from the passenger side of our 380 GT yesterday. The rear anchor straps had been pushing into the top of the head rest and now there are two seat belt grooves in the leather. Will the foam be likely to reform back to the original shape with time? Has anyone had...

  9. Back to standard intake

Well I've done probably what no one else has before. I've put the standard intake back on the 380. My dad has a VR-X with the standard snorkel and I like the extra refinement his gives. I'm getting too old to appreciate the extra induction noise! Must say never noticed any difference in the...

  10. Flaring between 2nd and 3rd

I changed the transmission fluid in our GT a little while back. I used the fully synthetic penrite fluid (the genuine SP3 could NOT be purchased locally - believe me I tried). I dropped the transmission sump oil, replaced that, and then flushed about another 7 litres via the transmission cooling...

  11. Sun visor

I don't know if anyone else had this issue? If you have the visor turned around against the side window, it swings back hitting you in the head when you turn right. Even more annoying when you have the little plastic extension out. Never had this issue with the Magna but the 380's sun visor is...

  12. Towing caravan 380

  13. Electrical problems. Is this the beginning of a trend as they get on in years???

Well I am starting to think that electric problems seem to be the 380's archilles heel. Well engineered and reliable from a drivetrain, suspension, brake, body point of view. However, I wonder how much Mitsubishi tried to save in electrical parts? The really important parts like ABS/traction...

  14. Staining of paint near boot struts

Well, I washed our 380 yesterday. The poor thing has been kicked out of its carport space by our Santa Fe and my red Ralliart takes the other spot. As 380 owners would know, leaves and dirt accumulate around the boot strut attachment areas and there are several spots that are hard to clean there....

  15. Seat memory

I've just found that our 380's seat memory (GT model) is failing to store the seat position. The mechanism still gives 3 beeps when you hold one of the buttons down (to store the position) but then it will return to the previosly stored position when pressing the required button. It is unable to...

  20. 380 extractors

If anyone that’s interested in RPW extractors is a bit of a DIYer and doesn’t want to deal with RPW then i have some news Basically i have lined up a source for getting the extractors produced by Liverpool that 'are exclusive to RPW' the only downside is that they are provided with no oxy sensor...
