    That's interesting, because your motor doesn't have a knock sensor, so using different ron fuels shouldn't make a difference to the fuel economy.

    hmmm true, my only explanation is maybe his timing is off/out of tune? Or the engine just isn't running at it's optimum on regular.

    im in around the 470 mark full tank syd to adelaide was ok on hi way 610 per tank but around town it is crap no mods

    But i have just relaised i have clogged\shagged injector so they are getting looked at in the morning

    and my last tank i just filled up again i got 9.3L/100km of which it consisted of some city driving, start stop, a drive on Beach road and a drive to philip island. with the mention of my engine is out of tune, i think u are right, at idle and with a broken driver's side engine mount, the engine has a rough idle, in a sense it more of a "pulsating" kind of idle...and with the car running on regular, it just doesn't sound as nice as when it runs on premium (at idle) if u wanna know what i mean i might take u out for a drive one day. i'll stick to premium now...its not too expensive atm anyway

    i can get about high 500-low 600 in suburban driving, depending on how far the foot goes at times. i did get a mid 600's on one tank and that had about 40mins or something on the Monash Fwy but the needle got down the E and the fuel light was coming on and off
