Not just mechanically. In fact they share a lot of exterior and interior components. Stepping from a Lancer into an Outlander or vice versa and you would think you were in the same car, just the elevation has changed.


The Pajero Sport has the same MATT tech as in the Pajero but is in the same league as Toyota Fortuna, Ford Everest, Isuzu MU-X and the upcoming Nissan Navara based SUV. These are all ute based. The thing is, the Pajero Sport does not come in 7 seats. So if Mitsubishi stops the Pajero then the only SUV with 7 seats will be the smaller Outlander.
