really?
both of my TJs report ~30L used when at half on the gauge (should be ~35L), and as I said, we dropped a tank that was reporting 1/4 on the gauge and it had about 30L in it. given the tank is 72L, I would have 1/4 would be less than 20L.
just got back from Sydney in the wagon. filled up with 61.5L for about 680km (or a touch over 9L/100km). not bad for 1 hour stopped on the M5 and about 300kg of computers in the back for the trip home.
cheers,

Filled up with Shell V Power 98 the other week with that 10c discount voucher and managed an easy 750km in a 80/20 Sydney/Newcastle freeway/suburban combination with the a/c on around say 50% of the time.
Before that on E10 in the same driving conditions (I drive pretty much to the same places on the same days every week), I could only JUST manage 700km, albeit with the a/c 100% of the time. I mean, it's usually about the conk out when near 700.
Filled up at the weekend with E10 after the tank of 98 and the Dist. To Empty displayed 760km. I will now see if I can match the distance on 98 using E10, although I will keep the a/c off. This morning I had travelled 130km and it displayed 630km, so we are on track.
First attempt quote above was destroyed by the crash on the F3 the other week and I lost about 100km from my range sitting in that car park. Second attempt on Mobil E10 and I managed 783.6km. Air con only on for a few minutes one morning to clear the windscreen. Drove conversatively but kept with the flow of traffic. Tank takes about 67 litres so my average for last week is 8.5L per 100km. So, with no air con, can squeeze an extra 80km from a tank. Filled up with Mobil E10 again, but after this one is empty, will try for 800km+ on 98ULP with no air con.
