From post so far it is only a matter of time for me aswell, being that window racing is so much fun with kids in the back(only until I lock them out ),then missus complains (because due to a stupid design) ,it locks front passenger out also. Got till 2012 for mine to stuffup and still be covered thank goodness.

hahaha...guess what my car got put in on sat for.....rear passenger window. Shame tho they didnt have the parts in stock, made me come down two weeks ago to "inspect" it but failed to mention that to me as i was expecting it to be fixed when i came back. two weeks later got the window fixed and the sway bar links.

window now works and there is no more knocks coming from the front suspension.

What was everyone else's waiting time for the window to be fixed and did they inspect it first before ordering the parts?

Now I play russian roulette with the windows everyday, winding them down and up once each. They still gotta be used, and if they're gonna break there's nothing I can do to prevent it (apart from never using them). Maybe I could ask them to check them at next service, before they break?

Yup Inspected it first then said come back in 5 days.
They did manage to close it up and shove a screw somewhere to keep it up while I waited to get it fixed.

Well that would have been nice...they sent me off with nothing. Had to tape the window up which has now permanently stuck to the window

I asked the dealership to check my two front windows as there was a slight buzzy noise when the window was almost fully wound down. The back windows were very quiet. I was told that it was just different mechanisms in the fronts to give a different noise.

So you were told there are different motors(?) in front to back, yeah? 'Cos it seems all the breaking window winders are rear passenger. I don't recall any fronts playing up.
I run all mine up and day each day, just once (no window racing for me thanks) to see if any difference occurs in travel time, noise, etc. All perfect, smooth and quiet so far.

Sorry- not sure if it was the motor, had all sorts of things going through my head with about 7 things i was asking them about. They just told me that the little noise there is, is normal. I am suspicious though. The back windows are very quiet.
