Well good news about the problem, I found a pattern to it!
It happens reliably when I switch on the AC.
Watching the RPM I see no lift when the AC is switched on and the engine very shortly cuts out after a splutter or two.

Had a quick convo with Mal yesterday and he confirms ISC is the most likely culprit.
I will swap it out asap and see if it resolves.

Solved, it was the ISC. Cant see anything physically wrong with it but obviously something is broken inside.
