Hey guys, i have made an offer on a 1990 Mitsubishi Galant GSR. it has done 143000 kms, is a 5 speed manual, rego until the 26th of July, was imported by the owner from Japan in 1990, and has owned it since. The old man is selling because he has had a stroke and had to hand in his licence.
The car is in excellent condition inside and quite good outside, except the bumper where he has hit a gutter or something and has bent up the bottom of it a bit. It has, electric windows and mirrors, power steering (yes, i am happy about this) and air conditioning (I own a Colt, okay?) Cruise Control, tape... atleast it's original, and electronically adjustable suspension
I have made an offer to the owner of $2,500. The dealer selling it on his behalf believes it's worth more than that, but when i jumped on Redbook, it reccomended 1100-2200, so i thought it was.
So what i am asking is, do you think it is an unreasonable price? What largley went wrong with these? And are they as reliable as the Magna and the Colt?
Any suggestions/comments would be largley appreciated.
