Just curious if these cars have any value or should just be recycled?

These cars are for sure a DIY in the repair department on many component.
I am still driving mine but getting to old for this DIY aspect.

Keep it going and restore if you think it's worth it, most likely you won't get money back if you go that way.

It doesn't seem like any old Mitsubishis are worth any money unlike Nissan and Toyota.
Starions have a high price tag on Carsales but IMHO the sellers are dreaming and will never get anywhere remotely near what they are asking for them

If you're in Brisbane and do end up needing to replace Rob at TTR in Randal street would probably have a low mileage second hand transmission for way less than that. They did an engine replacement in my 380 and it was $1600 including a radiator. Seriously $4000 grand to reco a transmission, they're taking the piss. A guy at Sunnybank had a manual 380 on Gumtree recently with 170,000 on the clock with decent paint for $2,500 with reg and rwc. There's also a AWD Ralliart Magna for $6000 at Loganholme.

By the way I was interested in this thread as an old housemate of mine had one. He had the 2.4L. It went pretty hard so I remember it with fondness. It had some pretty bad rust though. There's a Sigma Scorpion Coupe on Gumtree with an LS1 in it which they want $15,000 for. They do bare a strong resemblance to an XD Falcon imo.

Fair point. Pretty certain they mentioned awd in the add originally. Only reason I looked at it.

Not much of a rust issue to be seen on my Sigma which is amazing given the car is 38 years old (had since new!).
Mostly a spot of rust on the LH front passenger door.

Still don't know what its worth, as even on Gumtree the asking price is from next to nothing to ridiculous.
