I just happened to stumble across this archive of AWD technical articles/threads:

Due to the change over to a new server, a lot of the old articles were no longer available(or I could not search properly).

There is a total of 430 threads, only the last few of which have been started since the forum "upgrade" last September 2017.

A number of threads will also be of some use for FWD owners.

It might be worthwhile if Administrators made this a "sticky".

I have just stumbled upon the equivalent massive "non-AWD" technical archive for the FWD models.

I will ask Administrators to make this a "sticky" in the appropriate sub-forum.

When the forum underwent some changes in September 2017, direct access to technical information prior to that time was lost.

The above link goes part of the way to overcoming this problem, and provides another way to find information.

Just in case anyone did not know - to search within an archive page use "Ctrl f".

A search bar will appear in the top right corner.
