The 'Adjust by feel' method would have been acceptable on the 1st and 2nd Gen Magnas (TM to TS) since their TPS was separate from the idle switch. On the 3rd Gens they are integrated into a single unit, if they are maladjusted the idle switch may trigger before the throttle is fully closed or never trigger at all. Frankly, the earlier TB design seemed to be a more robust setup all round.
