Hi I have a Mitsubishi lancer 2003 CH and I am after some guidance in how to remove the boot lock Key barrel. it appears that the lock barrel is behind garnish I am a little worried about the boot garnish , I don't want to break it , is it easy to remove ?

We've sold our '07 CJ to our son-a uni student- and replaced it with a new GSR hatch (wife loves it). It replaced his '92 Corolla (great old car) and gives his parents peace-of-mind with all those airbags etc. The '07 has always been dealer serviced, but he probably hasn't the $$ to maintain...

Surprised it took so long (6 months). 18" wheels on the GSR have been guttered. Anyone know the name (or code) of the colour to touch them up? Also looking for a good set of 17" or 18" wheels and tyres for son's ES if anyone in SE Qld is planning to upgrade. Happy to pay a fair price. KSD

Guys, Will Evo 7 wheels fit on a CJ ES? (love these wheels) Both are 5 on 114.3, M12, but are the centre bore and offset compatible? I've seen photos of them on a TS Magna, and photos of CJ GSR wheels on a later Magna, so it seems likely(?) If not, will hubcentric rings be required/available.

Son's 2007 CJ Lancer (109,000 km) is showing an "ABS Service required / ASC off" message. The ABS pump was replaced about 10,000 km ago. Anyone got any ideas? Is it as easy as resetting the service light or is there something more sinister going-on here? KSD

Two CH Lancers in the family, both 2004. The black one (son's) has done 138,000 km on the original cam belt, the white one (wife's) only 28,000. Had one of my "hero" moments today, currently basking in the (imaginary) glory of a job well done. Changed the original cam belt on the white one....

This Recall is for the CJ Lancer, same problem as some of the CH models had, light stalk on the steering column can develop corrosion problems and you may have an intermittent problem with headlights, indicators etc going off/not working when you least expect it. Expect a letter in the mail.

Had some fun yesterday. Key was getting harder to turn in the ignition and often didn't want to come out easily. Finally bit the bullet yesterday, pulled the barrel right out, cleaned out by spraying and flooding with lubricant spray - lots of grey lubricant dribbled out - and back it went....
