hey hey
I apologise in advance if another extractor thread is boring you, but ive done the search and need some clarification, and thankyou for any advice or feedback.
I was told today that buying extractors plus labour could cost up to $700 because they take 7 hours to installdue to the east/west setup of the engine. It could cost up to $1000 because there are these small 8mm bolts that tend to snap during the process.
I asked if they use Pacemaker and was told Hurricane are better because they come with a bent (mandrel, i think he said, if that makes sense). the extractors themselves cost $400.
Needless to say i am put off the idea of packing extractors if it costs so much. Has anyone had these bolts break on them during the installation process???![]()
