Thread: Sports VS VRX - Mechanical Differences?

Just wondering what the main differences are between the TJ Sports and TJ VRX.

Now I know that they both have the same engine, body etc, nut the VRX has got nicer looking stock alloys and front/rear spoilers.

VRX also has got subtly better air flow allowing for a freer revving engine? Does the VRX have better suspension and brakes than the Sports?

Reason being its a LOT easier to find Manual SPorts's for sale (and cheaper), and then by spending a few hundred on air and exhaust, a VRX beater could be had for less..

Or am i delusional 8) :: :x (ok oding on smilies, i stop now)

    thaks

The difference is body kit and wheels
the sports should be a little quicker cause it is a touch lighter.

    Engine wise they're identical...so that's not right.

^^ my first quote, it might not work. Ummmm even if they have the same engine, if the VRX had better air flow and exhaust, then wouldn't the engine naturally become more free revving??

Engines, exhausts are identical. Sports weighs about 30 kilos less. The body kit weighs 30 kilos.

The engine outputs are the same. Exactly. The VR-X is heavier. Goes a teensy bit slower.

When you quote, just click the quote button above the person's post you wish to quote...then you never get it wrong

Also the exhausts are indentical...as Canberra VRX said, the VRX is slightly heavier due to the kit. The only other differences are interior cosmetics.
