Default AWD right hand cv joint

Does anyone know the best way to get a AWD drivers side cv joint?
Are there any other cars with the same part? eg a Diamante, Lancer

The removal is exactly the same as the FWD only you do not have the extension shaft

Remove the front wheel, remove the 2 bolts that hold in the strutt, remove the ABS wire of the strutt to give some extra movement. Remove the 32mm nut from the shaft, remove the shaft from the hub and then pop with a prybar from the transfer case. Do not pull on the shaft as you will destroy the joint

What I mean is that I need a new CV joint as the old one is busted.
So I'm trying to find out where I should search for one, as they are rare.
    CV shops don't sell them.

Is the CV shot or just a torn/leaking boot?

    Cheers,

The shaft is bent. the end, next to the transfer case is lying on the roadside somewhere.

So you really need a complete shaft with CV joints? Has the tranfer case or internals been damaged?

    Cheers,

The transfer case looks ok, as the cv end just slides out of the transfer case.
Not many wreckers have an AWD Magna.

From my research a little while ago on the front right drive shaft and CV boots for the AWD's I found the following. The inner CV boot is not a standard rubber, it is a silicone rubber due to the location above the exhaust. No CV place in Sydney carried it, but our friends at Mitsubishi do (Mitsubishi part number MR246506) cost is around $130-140 just for the boot . The outer boot is a "standard" size and rubber and should be able to get from a good CV reco place.

Drive carefully. It's not only cars that can be "Recalled" by their maker

Mate, PM Alscal, he may be willing to sell his spare from his wreck, if not your only real option will be genuine or if you are lucky to find a wreck
