People who have had auto transmission problems (3rd Gen)

.................................................. ..........So new box has new steels, clutches, and seals. Shift flare is gone! I use to have it all the time. No amount of software, or relearning would have fixed it! The flare is mechanical damage to the rear cover seals or the seal behind the valve body to piston.

Dunno which of the two fixed it but its fixed as least!

Cost me bout 800 for rebuild kit with new steels and rebuild TC.

Is that based on what you saw or on the TSB that was released in the US? I know the TSB addresses those seal rings , end cover etc but back when mine had wty MMAL would not acknowledge the document.

I've had a Mitsubishi with flaring between 2-3 for ages. When I rebuilt the box myself I changed the seals and flares gone. It's not a calibration issue.

Also tried calibration runs made no difference. My box was flaring for days after a battery disconnect. Now it never flares even when cold. No calibration required. I'm in the trans industry it's common knowledge.
