Default Thought id share my Mitsubishi 380 Steering wheel swap in my TL 03 ES wagon

My stock steering wheel had seen better days and would bend up the top, so i decided to swap it out with a nice fancy 06 mitsubishi 380 leather wheel.

I wouldn't reccomend doing this mod due to the fact that you have to cut the existing clockspring wires and do a bit of soldering and heat shrinking to get a working airbag...

And swapping the cruise control module from old wheel to new wheel to get that working. They might look the same but they arent..

Other than that, the steering spline and horn connect up nicely.

Just a cool mod id thought id share.

    Cheers!

Attached is a photo of the steering wheel in my car!

I bought one of those leather steering wheels (black) about 6 months ago, pretty cheap for a new genuine one.

Someone did a similar thing to their 99 sedan...

Lamenting the loss of Australian manufacturing.

    1998 - 2005 Mirage - still missed
2005 - TL AWD Magna still paying for upkeep

Pre `98 - non Mitsis including two Fords, a Toyota and a Daihatsu
