Default Power steering pump area seals?

Have a lot of oil under the car and it seems the main culprit is around the power steering pump area near the firewall where the hoses connect. Thing is power steering fluid is only slightly low yet the whole area underneath that is completely covered in oil and it looks like it's coming from there. Whilst transmission and engine oil have dropped a lot
Does transmission or engine oil also flow in that area?

Want to order all the parts before I bother taking anything apart as time is more of a limiting factor for me. Looks like 2 copper washers (anyone have size?) Any gaskets/o-rings etc?

Lots of stuff in that area near the PS reservoir and underneath it.
You say; "power steering pump area near the firewall where the hoses connect."
The PS pump is halfway between the firewall and the PS reservoir; hoses connect to the PS pump but some connections are on the passenger side, near the firewall. PS fluid is Ford/GM transmission oil.
I might suggest you determine exactly what's afoot before doing anything more.
The only reason you would need copper washers is if the pressure hose on the PS pump has a loose connection.
    Hope this helps.

You are possibly correct about the fluid type.

    BUT:

Safest to use genuine, it is not expensive and is designed for our cars

    Any ideas?

As Madmagna said in another thread:

also the most neglected area is the power steering fluid

So I joined the "big spenders" club the other day.....

.....Genuine Mits. PS fluid 1 litre = $15 retail or $12.65 trade from Albion Park Mits.
I'll use up some Dextron 111 on the Skyline which needs a top up.

Finally, and from what I have read over the last few years.....just in case you are tempted and which was quite OK in the old days.....

DO NOT use auto trans fluid, even genuine Mits. SP111, in the power steering system.

I tried to find an image on the 'net of the genuine Mits. fluid, but I can't find one.
