Hi,
I have a 1996 TE V6 3.0 litre magna auto, if i select D or R when it is cold there is whiring sound coming from the vicinity of the alternater side of the engine, if i select neutral again the noise disapears and the engine sounds fine.Also the noise completely disapears as soon as the engine warms up. Gearbox oil was recently changed as was the filter.
The gearbox performs fine otherwise. The car has done 175ks so far.
This started approximatly 6 months ago.

Any ideas?
