Default 2nd gen Elite - wrecking/free parts. In Colac Vic. Can deliver parts to Geelong

Recently, I had a heater hose split in my Elite. This would have been no major problem, except I kept driving till the engine turned off several times, thinking it was out of oil and had no hope of surviving. After fixing the hose, it drove fine but drank water. The water pump also died. This requires taking the timing belt off, so I did that then gave up. So the engine still can run, with some assembly required. Likely not reliable, although head gasket seemed ok.

So I bought a 1st gen Elante, and wish to give away all Elite 2nd gen parts to people on this forum, rather than simply crushing the car i'd put so much effort into completely converting from Executive to Elite..

Parts availiable: All parts. Fully working manual. Heavy duty clutch. Manual works ok, but doesn't have enough travel. It requires clutch to be on the floor, and still tends to grind gears a little. Might be release fork wear or even inexperience changing clutches. It drives anyway. Front seat belt pillar trim has been cut to allow newer exec belts to adjust. Air controls mostly work. Unfortunately, recently the fan speed dial broke. It requires odd number of turns to respond, and is annoying to use. All air servos and sensors work. Cruise control works, but throttle cable mount is loose/stripped. Thats the bit that bolts to intake manifold.

Taillights and boot garnish look fine. Boot garnish modified with dash globes behind mitsubishi letters, and low / high setting for brakes / tail light effect. Taillights also rewired to use 6 double filament bulbs. The boot lid bulbs are expected to blow often, due to vibration closing the boot. To extent life of bulbs, never shut boot with lights on.

Steering wheel buttons and slip ring are good. Horn attatchment loose with wrong screws. Horn disabled to avoid accidental tooting. Possibly can be fixed with the right screws / shorter screws. Electric windows availiable too. Front door skins cut around speaker area, with sharp edges. Rear door skins ok. Seats ok. Center console ok, despite being used with manual gearbox. Woodgrain auto trim ok. No gear shifter for auto.

Parts are mostly all free. Will sell Elite rims. All other parts free. Rear axle reserved for my Dad. Instrument cluster possibly availiable, but not accurate. After taking needles off and reseating, all gauges are offset. Ask about anything and i'll be as honest and detailed as practicable.

This car is in Colac, victoria. Many parts could be taken to Geelong during the week. Money would be appreciated, but not expected. Now that I have a 1st gen and want to dedicate my time to it, i've lost my passion for the 2nd gen. Therefore, to me it is now junk that may get thrown out.
