AWD TL Mechanic. Melbourne

So my AWD TL is running like a pig, got a random SRS warning light and I think the car needs a scan and possibly a tune.

I am aware of our member down the south east but I only have one car and a family of 3 so the distance I just cant do.

I am hoping for some suggestions on quality and efficient workshops that are up to date in my area. I live in mill park and ive pulled into a couple of the shops around but after talking with the guys running them I wouldn't have taken my 4x crash Hyundai Excel to them. I have a multitude of issues I want looked at to get eh car up to spec, so i really need someone that will be straight and knows their shit.

And pay 160 per hour to apprentices screw up your magna - yeah right Dreggzy...

And the random SRS light is 99% probability that its caused by the poor connections under the seat. Something you'll notice if the seat movements are related to the SRS warning light.

And If in Melbourne. I would definitely consider Mitsfix.. Probably knows more about magnas than anyone, at least 50% cheaper labour rates. And access to a plethora of cheap parts..
Its worth a phonecall at least.

Definitely give Mal a call at Mitsfix. He has a courtesy vehicle now, so I'm sure you can book that in so you're not left stranded.

/Philosophical rant:

Unfortunately the Magnas are not considered mainstream cars and finding an cheap/efficient/well equipped mechanic around the corner is very unlikely.
Mal might be miles away, but it may be the only option.

It's the old quandary, do you pay (and pay) a local mechanic to do (possibly) unsatisfactory work, travel to somewhere distant for the work, or get your hands dirty and DIY?

This question will only face more people as the cars age.

Any mechanic worth their salt would consider a Magna a mainstream car. They may be undervalued by many mechanics but for a lot of local places they're the reason they still have a business.
