I'm intrigued, what cosmetics do you plan on updating?

When i price up cosmetic fixes the dollars add up so quickly, its a bit scary. So then I spend the equivalent money on something mechanical and try to ignore the cracked tail light, original floor mats, crazed window tinting and so on. But at least the paint and clear coat is still good.

I was in touch with a guy trying to sell his low mileage awd, who has yet to change the timing belt on a 15 year old car. Some people just dont get it. The thing is a belts width away from a full engine rebuild.

These days that isn't the massive drama it seems. I personally will not be changing the belt in my KL AWD. If the engine goes, I will simply pop a new 3.8 in. It is more economic these days. The cars are now cheap enough to throw away a motor or indeed an entire car!

Thanks to the OP for the pics on how the car will look with 380 wheels. I have the Exact same car in Verada spec. Same bumpers lights etc. Once the current tyres wear out I will junk the wheels and update to a bigger 380 set.

I dont doubt the economics, especially if the water pump and pulleys are due for replacement. Its more the practicality of being able to schedule the work, rather than the belt failing unpredictably. Especially as its our only car.
