    Default Steering Rack Arms

Hey guys, quick question about the steering racks, is the arm from the rack removable? I have a bent steering arm and a spare parts Magna and would like to just replace the arm and not the whole rack. Is this doable?

I managed to remove both from a TW rack (not in vehicle) so I could send it parcel post. Basically I removed the rubber boots then, using two spanners, was able to unscrew the arms from the rack. The threaded sections were a fairly tight fit & needed spanners to unscrew it all the way. It took a bit of effort on a workbench so not sure how you'll go (space wise) doing it on the vehicle.

    Cheers

If the tie rod is bent from an accident, you may want to remove the steering rack off the car anyway, to inspect for damage to the rack.

The car is drivable. It was a low speed hit in a carpark on a pole Lol. It just has a bit of toe out on one side.

I'll be under there anyway so I'll have a look. If it was so tight you needed a spanner all the way then something must have been wrong. I've played around with them before and they just wind on easy as pie?
