AWD power steering rack and pump same as the FWD ones

Anyone can help me on this one? Are the power steering rack and pump the same for both AWD and FWD? Or are they different?

I think so too. Given Mitsubishi's budget to get the AWD I don't see them developing a new steering rack. The TL/TW AWD's got the Ralliart pump (just like all the other TL TW's), that is the only difference i believe.

Thanks guys! I wanted to change my power steering rack to the TL/TW one, as it is better. So I reckon i better ask first.

The rack number might be different but the changes made in the TL/TW model is minute and the rack bolts on directly to the TJ.

I will find out very soon... Fingers crossed! Just got myself a TL power steering rack. Part number sure looks a tad different to the TL AWD one in alscall's thread. It has a higher number... Will drop by the mechanic to suss it out. If it fits, I'll have a spare KJ2 AWD steering rack for sale... if not I'll have a spare TL FWD steering rack for sale! Win-win situation......... NOT! Muahaha....
