    Default Standard rear suspension ride height.

    OK- so I know so many people are after that nice lowered suspension look for the Magna- but from a day to day driveability perspective, particularly having to transport kids to and from school and occasionally tow the boat to and from the ramp a standard ride height can be an advantage- so the question is- does anyone know if the AWD had the same standard rear springs as the FWD- and does anyone have the correct rear ride height measurements with the standard 16" wheels- mine is currently sitting at 580mm guard to rim and it simply looks too low. particularly when you add the fact it has standard rate springs- might not be so bad if they were uprated coils but certainly looks a bit too low and soft.

    My TL AWD is 590mm rim lip to guard with 16" wheels. Thats on level ground and nothing in the boot.

    The belief is that the AWD xJ's got the suspension setup lifted out of the sport/vrx.

    As for xL/W, not sure.

    200kw at wheels galant vr4 on only 15psi

    Apparently not- further investigation through Mitsu reveals that there are actually at least 4 different spings used in the TL series sedans- each with a different colour code- each colour code relating to some minor difference- for example there is a spring set used with a green band, yellow band, green and yellow combination band and a white band (the one mine has) and each is coded to the specific VIN of the vehicle- Mitsu people were not able to tell me what the colour coding means other than there are diffenences. What started me on this was trying to cross check ride height from Pedders and Kings- each has their own method of measuring rear ride height for their lowered spring kit- mine curently sits well below both aftermarket company specs at the rear. So it appears the Kings/ Pedders sets are all relational to the standard rear set- what ever that be, but may not necessarily be an effective lower for some model variants dependant on the model spec and spring set out of the factory- confussed yet?? I am!!

    When I was reading reviews of the AWD, they were all reported as having suspension that is 10mm lower than the standard Magna.

    Have a look at the AWD group in the community, I'm pretty sure there's some more information there that might add to this.
