    Default after alignment front left camber +1 should be -30?

    I took my 1999 TH sports in to Beaurepairs for an alignment today. The guy tells me that (apart from more oil leaks than the middle east) after the alignment, the front passenger has a camber of about +1 when it should be -30. I am getting a 380 put in a 2 months or so (already have 380 brakes put in),so the oil leaks will be sorted. However, I suspect I need new suspension as well a new exhaust .. My question is this, and please remember I am mechanically inept:

    Should I wait until after Mal puts in the 380 before I get the camber adjuster/alignment, suspension and new exhaust done? Having read posts here,it appears that the 380 motor sits lower than the 3.5 so exhaust should probably be done after the new motor, but I'm not sure of the other things?

    Does it wear tyres out unevenly? When looking at the car from an angle does the wheel look like it is leaning out compared to the other side? Does it steer better going left than it does right? If the answer is no then the guy may have it wrong. I find suspension shops do a better wheel alignment than tyres shops.

    It seems to be wearing unevenly it was pulling though slightly to the right, it does look slightly different from the other side, this is the second shop I've been to (Bob Jane and now Beaurepairs) both have told me I need to get the adjuster..both recommended Pedders to get it from.

    Pedders don't have a great reputation. Find a dedicated suspension specialist local to you. Positive camber is not a good thing and I would be getting it looked at sooner rather than later. Front camber for unmodified Magnas is generally between 0° and -30', although with lowered suspension it's not uncommon for camber to be around -1°.

    By default camber is not adjustable on Magnas so it is not a simple matter of a better alignment. I am no suspension expert but I suspect that something is broken and will need to be replaced.

    The weight/positioning of the 380 engine would not make much of a difference to the issues you are having with your suspension.

    30 degrees of camber is ridiculous.
    I think ideally -1 would be something to aim for, definitely not in the positives.

    You can get camber pins to fix this issue, they are not too expensive and are easy to fit

    30' is 30 minutes of angle i.e. 0.5°
